Marsh is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Wellington office:Principal - CorporateWhat Can You Expect?As a Principal in our Corporate practice, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality risk and insurance advice while ensuring exceptional customer service for our clients. We offer a range of benefits to ensure our employees feel valued each day, including:Leading training and development programs.An agile workspace with flexible working arrangements.A professional environment where your career path is prioritized and supported within our global organization.A collaborative team atmosphere with energetic and supportive colleagues.We Will Count on You To:Plan and implement clear and effective renewal and broking strategies, ensuring renewal performance exceeds set targets.Foster a positive client retention and development focus within the team by encouraging regular communication about client status and promptly addressing retention issues.Leverage the Company’s national and global resources by maintaining and communicating the facilities and capabilities available.Meet service standards as outlined in client service agreements.Manage all expenses closely, remaining aware of costs against the budget.Maximize account profitability through efficient work practices, adequate client billing, and sensible expense control.Develop and maintain meaningful working relationships with insurers, while monitoring changes within client industries to preserve and protect the Company's relationships.Ensure colleagues possess a thorough understanding of the client's business, risk management, and insurance needs to effectively meet their expectations.Represent the company at industry functions, meetings, or events.Adhere strictly to the Company's quality practices and other systems and procedures.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all major classes of insurance offered by the Company and stay updated on new technical and product developments.Keep abreast of relevant insurance legislation, including the Marine Insurance Act, Insurance Law Reform Act, Fire & Emergency Services Levy, EQC Levy, Stamp Duties, GST, and other relevant laws.Comply with the Company's Errors and Omissions avoidance procedures to prevent any occurrences.What You Need to Have:Achieve and maintain the NZ Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advice Services.Complete and apply professional development in areas such as Leadership, Management, Negotiation, Presentation, Broking, and Project Management as offered.Hold insurance qualifications (ANZIIF or similar).A degree is preferred.Marsh, a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), is the world’s top insurance broker and risk advisor.
