Principal Application Engineer in Digital

At Cadence, we hire and develop leaders and innovators who want to make an impact on the world of technology.We are looking for an Application Engineer in Digital ImplementationLocation: Sophia-Antipolis, FranceReports to: AE Director This role is ideal for someone with a good understanding of IC/ASIC digital design or implementation.Job ResponsibilitiesSupport leading edge IC/ASIC design and Implementation using Cadence IC Digital Implementation products e.g. Genus, Innovus.Participate in bringing up new flows at customer sites.Deliver update trainings at customer sites.Use skills/knowledge to debug issues and work directly on customer IC/ASIC design projects.Provide technical support to sales team to identify opportunities to proliferate Cadence products.Communicate customer requirements and feedback to the Engineering and Marketing organizations for product direction/improvements.Job QualificationsEducation: Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics,5 to 15 years of experience in microelectronics/EDA industry.Languages: Fluent in French and English.Expected to have knowledge of Verilog/VHDL hardware description language.Have a working knowledge of UNIX/Linux, C-shell, TCL/TK programming and scripting.Knowledge of Machine Learning would be advantageous.Additional Skills/Preferences: The successful candidate should:Have the ability to communicate and present effectively, both verbally and via email.Be a team player and able to work and integrate well in a team environment.Have a pro-active attitude to problem solving and optimization.Be prepared to travel and work at customer sites throughout Europe.We’re doing work that matters.
