Job Description

The Principal Procurement Officer is a key senior role in the Clinical Equipment team within the Fleet and Equipment Branch. The purpose of the role is to lead, undertake and oversee procurement and contract management services relating to high value and/or high risk and/or complex goods and services and various significant projects undertaken by the QAS, to meet the operational objectives of a dynamic ambulance service.To Apply, You Must Submit The FollowingYour current résumé; andA 2-page statement outlining your suitability for this position. For a confidential conversation about the role, please contact the person listed in the Job Details.We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:Proven high level knowledge and understanding of Queensland Government procurement and contract management policies and practices, including 'go to market' and contract templates.Demonstrated capability in procurement and contract management for high value and/or high risk and/or complex goods and services, to establish both contracts and associated arrangements.Highly developed communication, negotiation, consultation and collaboration skills including the proven ability to write and prepare complex, high-level correspondence and documentation.Demonstrated experience and capability in managing a significant volume of work in a dynamic environment of competing priorities with limited resources, and the proven ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.Highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills including the ability to deliver innovative and cost-effective procurement outcomes that meet organisational priorities.Demonstrated strong commitment to continuous quality improvement and the delivery of excellent client service.The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:Whilst not mandatory, a qualification or formal training in government procurement/contract management practices, law or a business-related discipline will be highly regarded.The incumbent may be required to travel intrastate on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Occupational group Procurement
