Principal Specialist (Strategy & Transformation)

Job DescriptionThe candidate will be part of FairPrice Group’s S&T team, which under the stewardship of the Chief Strategy officer, supports the FPG leadership team in their strategy and transformation agenda for the business. As a Senior Strategist, he/ she will work closely with different stakeholders across business units and corporate functions to drive strategic projects towards tangible milestones and outcomes.The Senior strategist will report to the Director of S&T and be a part of the central S&T pool, from which resources are allocated to prioritized strategic projects.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport leadership team in the orchestration and delivery of priority Transformation initiatives, by working closely with key business stakeholders and in some cases, external Consulting service providersExecution of key project meetings including the preparation of agenda, work plan, thought leadership around narrative and analysis, coordination and follow-upsPartner Business stakeholders to identify and resolve interdependencies across transformational initiativesWhere required, support the end-to-end development and delivery of specific business strategy reviewsWork in cross-units taskforce to drive and deliver desired outcomes on priority goals Job RequirementsTertiary Degree in any discipline with at least 5 years of experience in consultancy, business strategy, or corporate planning (or similar)Strong strategic thinking and project management skillsGood stakeholder management and able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, management and diverse audiencesProficiency with creating presentations for effective communications as well as Excel data analysisAbility to influence and shape work, progress, and processes independently
