Job Description

We are partnering with a top-tier quantitative hedge fund to expand their discretionary macro strategies, and they are seeking a Macro Analyst to join their trading team. As a Macro Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in their macro strategy expansion. This top-down position focuses on analyzing global geopolitical and economic events, conducting in-depth qualitative research, and understanding the interplay between asset classes. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and analyze global macroeconomic indicators, including GDP growth, inflation, interest rates, currency movements, and commodity prices. Conduct top-down analysis and research such as analyze geopolitical and economic events, such as U. S.

tariff discussions, and the fiscal/monetary policy implications Conduct deep qualitative research on global macro themes, internalizing a wide range of inputs from political, economic, and market sources. Assess interactions between asset classes and evaluate the broader implications of political, monetary, and fiscal policies on global markets. Utilize Python for data analysis, visualization, and dashboard creation to support research and strategy development. Collaborate with the Portfolio Manager and team to pitch ideas, build infrastructure for macro strategies, and integrate fundamental approaches with quantitative methods. Generate actionable investment ideas based on macroeconomic and market analysis.

Present research findings and recommendations in clear, concise reports and presentations to senior management and investment committees. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Advanced degrees (Master’s, PhD, or CFA) are strongly preferred. Deep understanding of global macroeconomic trends, monetary policy, and financial markets. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in statistical analysis and econometric modeling. Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB for data analysis and modeling. Familiarity with Bloomberg, Reuters, or other financial data platforms.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
