Apprentice Product Designer (Apprentice/Intern)

Hello. We're Prismic. We're a SaaS product aimed at meeting the needs of both individual developers and large enterprise websites. In a nutshell, we're a CMS – like WordPress, but different – although that's a massive oversimplification. With Prismic, developers and designers are free to use their preferred technologies to build websites and content creators and marketers are able to independently add and edit content. Now, just from reading that you will probably understand that this means that we serve a wide array of different user-profiles and the needs that come with them.

With this in mind, as an Apprentice Product Designer, you will support our design efforts to shape the product experience and learn how to best fit our different customers’ needs. Design teamThe design team is (currently) a group of 6 designers. Some specialize in UI and visual design, others in UX and research. Different parts of our product experience are at different points of maturity and complexity, and we are aiming to improve the overall experience of building websites and creating content.

To get there, we need motivated design apprentices to join us and work on these challenges while developing their skills and experience in a real product environment. What will you be doing? 🔧As an apprentice, your role is to assist in solving a wide variety of different product challenges: from contributing to new features to helping harmonise UX patterns across the product, always under the guidance of experienced designers.

Wire-frame, build end-to-end flows, prototype, design UI (while not forgetting the details, fonts, colours, spacings, interaction patterns, wordings*. . .

A portfolio or selection of projects (school, personal, freelance) showing your interest in designing software for desktop and/or mobile, with foundations in typography, interaction and visual design, and idea generationYou love to iterate, edit, abandon, and start againA curiosity to understand complex scenarios and translate them into clear user flowsGood knowledge of UX methodologies (from your studies or personal projects)Willingness to learn usability testing and research, with guidance from UX ResearchersEager to learn new practices and push boundaries of design tools by leveraging the latest AI capabilitiesYou are used to working with a design systemA learning and growth mindset:
