TitleProcess Engineer - HydraulicsKBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Process Engineer-Hydraulics to support the Abadi LNG project, one of the largest projects in Asia. This project will provide front-end design (FEED) for onshore liquefied natural gas facilities & will have a peak production capacity targets of 9.5 million tons per annum of LNG and 150 million standard cubic feet per day of pipeline gas. The Abadi LNG project has been designated a project of national strategic importance by the Indonesian government.The Process Engineer – Hydraulics be part of a team that will perform hydraulic calculations and simulations for LNG process systems including pipelines, pumps, compressors, and control valves. This role will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure hydraulic designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements to drive impactful engineering solutions for the Abadi Project.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and review PFDs and P&IDs with a focus on hydraulic integrity and process efficiencyConduct transient analysis and surge studies to mitigate risks in LNG transfer and storage systemsSupport procurement by preparing technical specifications for hydraulic equipment and reviewing vendor documentationParticipate in HAZOP, SIL, and other safety reviews to ensure hydraulic systems are robust and compliantProvide technical support during construction, commissioning, and startup phasesEnsure compliance with relevant codes, standards (API, ASME, ISO), and client requirementsRequired QualificationsEngineering bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, or related fieldMinimum of 7 years of process engineering experience, with average experience of 10 + yearsStrong background in the Oil & Gas industry with a focus on hydraulics in LNGProficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., PIPE-FLO, AFT Fathom, Aspen HYSYS)Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and process controlFamiliarity with LNG plant operations, cryogenic systems, and high-pressure gas handlingExperience with dynamic simulation tools and surge analysisKnowledge of international standards and best practices in LNG hydraulic designDecarbonization – Energy Transition – Sustainability R2114104
