Process EngineerDescription & Role Responsibilities:A well-funded deep-tech semiconductor company with long-term customers is seeking a Process Engineer tolead the manufacturing and development of novel high-power and high-frequency transistor devices. Thisrole is a key driver for successful device fabrication, focusing on cleanroom execution, process control, andyield improvement.Main Tasks:• Execute and optimize microfabrication processes in a cleanroom environment, ensuring high processcontrol, throughput, and yield.• Develop and document new manufacturing processes and procedures for novel materials and devicearchitectures (e.g., lithography, deposition, etching, thermal processes).• Monitor cleanroom equipment, coordinate maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety andquality standards.• Perform in-line metrology and basic electrical measurements to quickly evaluate process quality andidentify potential issues.• Collaborate closely with the Device and Lab Engineers to translate design requirements into robust,scalable manufacturing processes.Key Qualifications:• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a semiconductor or MEMS cleanroom fabrication environment.• In-depth knowledge and operational experience with key microfabrication techniques (e.g.,photolithography, PVD /ALD deposition, dry/wet etching).• Solid understanding of material science, semiconductor processing, and device integrationchallenges.• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex fabrication processes and resolve yield issues.• Strong organizational and documentation skills for managing process flows and standard operatingprocedures (SOPs).• An M.Sc. in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similardisciplines, with relevant experience.Useful Qualifications (Nice to Have):• Specific experience with wide band-gap materials (e.g., GaN, SiC, or metal oxides) processing.• Familiarity with transistor design (e.g., FET, TFT) and device physics.• Experience with advanced metrology tools (e.g., SEM, AFM, ellipsometry, XPS, UPS).• PhD in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar disciplines.Personal Qualifications:• Methodical, disciplined, and rigorous in adhering to and documenting cleanroom protocols.• Proactive and solution-oriented with a strong drive for continuous process improvement.• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small, interdisciplinary team.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear process documentation.Reports to: Head of R&DLocation: Binyamina, Israel (conveniently close to the train station).
