We are based in Attnang-Puchheim (30 min from Linz) and Vienna, the most liveable city in the world and are looking for someone who supports our team in the field of process development for our carbonation technologies.Hyped already? We are only getting started!Key Responsibilities:Development of aqueous carbonation technologies from lab-scale experiments to pilot-scale implementations, ensuring technical feasibility and operational scalabilityDesign and refine process flows for the carbonation of mineral waste materials to optimize CO2 sequestration at larger scalesCoordinate and conduct pilot-scale trials to test the efficacy and environmental impact of carbonation processes, documenting all findings thoroughly.Collaborate with R&D and technical teams to troubleshoot process issues and refine technology based on trial outcomesDevelop protocols and procedures to ensure successful scale-up, including safety, quality control, and compliance benchmarksAssess and integrate new technologies and methods to enhance the process efficiency and sustainability of pilot operationsLiaise with environmental agencies and compliance bodies to ensure all pilot processes meet strict environmental standards and regulationsAnalyze pilot project data rigorously to identify trends, draw conclusions, and make informed recommendations for full-scale deploymentSkills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related fieldMinimum of 2 years’ experience in process engineering, with a specific focus on scaling up environmental or chemical processing technologiesDemonstrated expertise in carbon capture and sequestration (CCUS) technologies, particularly aqueous carbonation of mineral wasteStrong project management skills, capable of leading scale-up projects from conception through to pilot testing and evaluationProficient in the use of process simulation and modeling tools such as Aspen Plus or HYSYS, with a solid understanding of chemical reaction engineering.Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to solve complex engineering problems and adapt solutions in real-timeEffective communicator, skilled in presenting technical information and progress reports to stakeholders, including non-technical audiencesProactive in staying abreast of industry trends and advancements in carbon capture and storage technologiesCommitment to environmental sustainability and a deep understanding of regulatory environments related to carbon sequestrationThe ability to take and make good jokes ;)Why Join Us?Be part of a mission-driven company at the forefront of climate technology.
