Process Engineer

We’re supporting a leading global pharmaceutical organisation in Switzerland that is looking to bring on board an experienced Process Engineer to join the team on a 6 months initial contract.This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility, focusing on clean utility systems and process troubleshooting within a highly regulated GMP environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support, troubleshooting, and optimisation for clean utility systems (e.g., purified water, WFI, clean steam, compressed air).Monitor and analyse system performance to ensure consistent operation and compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.Support ongoing operations and maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime and reliable system performance.Lead or assist in root cause analysis, deviation management, and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Maintenance, QA, and Engineering to ensure smooth system performance and documentation accuracy.Participate in system upgrades, modifications, and validation activities where required.Ensure proper documentation and change control for all technical interventions.Key RequirementsDegree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, or Biochemical Engineering (or related field).Proven hands-on experience working with clean utilities within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.Solid understanding of GMP principles and regulatory requirements.Strong background in operations, troubleshooting, or system optimisation.Excellent communication and teamwork skills; able to interface effectively across departments.Experience with stainless steel bioreactors, fermentation systems, or similar process equipment is a strong advantage.Fluent in English; Contract DetailsDuration: Initial 6-month contract (extension likely)Location: On-site in Switzerland with possible hybrid flexibilityStart Date: ASAP
