At Cairn, we are committed to playing a lead role in energy security of the country and geared up towards contributing 50% of India’s crude production.Job Summary:We are seeking a highly experienced Process Lead with over 10 years of experience in the upstream oil & gas sector. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in process design, optimization, and operations related to offshore and onshore oil & gas production facilities. The Process Lead will be responsible for leading process engineering efforts across concept, FEED, and detailed design phases of upstream projects.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage process engineering activities for upstream oil & gas projects (onshore/offshore).Prepare and review process deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, heat and material balances, equipment sizing, process datasheets, and cause & effect diagrams.Provide technical leadership during project phases such as conceptual design, FEED, detailed engineering, and commissioning.Ensure compliance with industry standards (API, ASME, ISO, etc.) and company TSG specifications.Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, instrumentation, piping, and safety engineering.Coordinate with clients, licensors, vendors, and contractors to ensure alignment on process requirements.Support HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and other safety studies.Provide process simulations using tools such as HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or equivalent.Participate in design reviews, technical workshops, and value engineering exercises.Provide mentoring and guidance to Young process engineers.Key Requirements:Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.10–15 years of relevant experience in upstream oil & gas industry.Proven experience in process design for production facilities (separation, gas processing, dehydration, compression, water treatment, etc.).Hands-on experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II, etc.).Strong understanding of industry codes and standards (API, ISO, IEC, etc.).Experience working on international projects is a plus.Excellent communication, leadership, and project coordination skills.
