The role works closely with senior procurement staff and business areas to coordinate procurement processes, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (Cth) (PGPA Act), Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), and internal procurement policies.This role is suited to a capable procurement professional who can operate with a degree of independence, provide advice to stakeholders, and contribute to improvements in procurement practices, tools, and systems.Key responsibilitiesSupport and coordinate end-to-end procurement processes, including request documentation, evaluations, and contract finalisationProvide advice to internal stakeholders on procurement thresholds, policy requirements, and appropriate sourcing methodsDraft and review procurement documentation, evaluation reports, and contract templatesEnsure all procurement activities are conducted in compliance with applicable legislation, policies, and internal governance frameworksMaintain accurate and complete procurement and contract records in registers and systems, ensuring timely updates and secure storage for audit readinessPrepare, validate, and analyse procurement data to support accurate reporting, ensure compliance, and drive process improvement initiatives Review and assess pricing structures in tender submissions to support evaluation committee decision making Coordinate and convene evaluation committee meetings, ensuring structured discussions and accurate documentation to support fair and transparent decision-makingSupport the development and refinement of procurement tools, templates, and guidance materialsSkills and experienceTo be successful in this role, you will bring 2-3 years’ experience in procurement, have advanced analytical skills, and the ability to interpret data and provide insights that support compliant, value-for-money decision making.Demonstrated experience supporting or managing procurement activities within a public sector or regulated setting Ability to identify process improvement initiatives within procurement operations, enhancing efficiency and ensuring compliance with best practices Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and visualisationWorking knowledge of the PGPA Act, CPRs, and public sector procurement requirements Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to advise stakeholders and collaborate effectively Experience drafting clear and accurate procurement documents and maintaining high-quality records Sound organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlinesAnalytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and improvement-focused mindset Proficiency in procurement and contract systems (e.g., AusTender, SAP Concur and/or SAP Ariba) is desirable Experience in procurement, purchasing, or contract management roles Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, public administration, or a related discipline (desirable)Training or certification in procurement or contract management is advantageousWhat We OfferMeaningful Impact: Contribute to Australia's housing solutions while building a world-class organisational cultureFlexible Work: Balanced hybrid arrangement supporting your work-life integrationGrowth Opportunities: Be part of our transformation journey with opportunities to shape our people practicesCollaborative Culture: Join a mission-driven team committed to excellence and making a differenceWe would love to hear from you.
