Sales–Procurement AlignmentConsolidate sales forecasts from regional teams and translate them into purchase plans for optimal stock levels.Ensure procurement volumes match market demand patterns to avoid overstock and lost sales.Maintain real-time communication between sales teams and procurement to adapt quickly to demand fluctuations.2. Strategic Freight Sourcing NegotiationsIdentify and develop a global supplier base that offers competitive pricing, consistent quality, and flexible supply terms.Negotiate contracts, freight terms, and lead times to support sales seasonality and promotional activities.Introduce multi-supplier sourcing strategies to reduce dependency risks.3. Inventory & Demand PlanningImplement advanced inventory forecasting tools to balance stock availability with cash flow efficiency.Reduce slow-moving inventory through sales–procurement coordination on clearance and repositioning plans.Maintain an optimal inventory turnover ratio without compromising customer service levels.4. Cross-Functional LeadershipLead cross-department planning sessions between Sales, Procurement, Logistics, and Finance.Coach teams on the importance of end-to-end commercial thinking — from supplier negotiation to customer pricing.
