For our client, we are looking for a Procurement and Supply Chain Assistant to join an innovative and fast-growing life sciences company based in Amsterdam.This company is dedicated to developing cutting-edge therapies for neurodegenerative diseases, combining scientific excellence with advanced technology to make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives. Joining their team means contributing to a mission-driven organization at the forefront of medical innovation, where you’ll play a key role in supporting the laboratory’s procurement and supply chain operations.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesSupport procurement and inventory management, including stock tracking, restocking, sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, and assisting in negotiations.Collaborate with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods, maintain strong relationships, and assist in onboarding new suppliers in the procurement system (e.g., Coupa).Assist with facility coordination and equipment support, including scheduling maintenance, upkeep, and record-keeping for laboratory instruments.Help maintain chemical safety records and support lab teams in following proper handling and storage procedures.Coordinate logistics for shipments, deliveries, and internal transfers, ensuring smooth communication between senders, shippers, and receivers.Provide system and administrative support, including data entry, reporting, and troubleshooting within procurement systems, and collaborating with IT and Finance for accurate documentation.Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, training, and development opportunities aimed at increasing efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.QualificationsMBO or BSc degree in a relevant field (e.g., logistics, procurement, or supply chain management).At least 2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related operational role.Strong planning, organization, and precision skills, with the ability to manage priorities and maintain accurate documentation.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively across teams and with external suppliers.Adaptable and results-oriented, able to respond to changing priorities, solve problems, and meet operational targets.Ability to suggest and support continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency, cost savings, and sustainability.Experience in laboratory or technical environments is a plus.OfferA position within an innovative life sciences company making a tangible impact on healthcare.Opportunities for professional growth and continuous learning in procurement and logistics.A collaborative, purpose-driven environment with room to develop your skills and career.Competitive salary and benefits package, aligned with your experience and background.
