Job Title: Procurement Category Manager Location: Walton Oaks Contract: Until 30th June 2026 / Hybrid Hours: 36.5 per week Rates: £25-40 p/h Job DescriptionSRG are looking for a procurement category manager that will Lead Procurement activities across key Professional Services and IT categories including support to separation work as part of business de-merger for a global company that manufactures and sells personal care and paper-based consumer products.Duties and Responsibilities Ensure that the company requirements for Professional Services and IT categories category are fulfilled with the optimum quality, service, and total cost of ownership, which are consistent with the needs of our internal business partners, the opportunities presented by the market, and meet our short and long-term requirements.Manage communications between suppliers and internal business partners to ensure business needs are met on an ongoing basis. Develop and maintain expertise on vendor selection, relationships and negotiationMaintain close, co-operative relationships with key business partners, enabling development of relevant, forward focused category strategiesOperate with an E2E Supply Chain / Business mindset, and in partnership with Business Units, ensure service continuity, continuous improvement and maximized value deliveryMaintain collaborative relationships with across Procurement and leverage these relationships to drive value for the EMEA business and to support the needs of other regions.Ensure that internal control requirements are met in an efficient and effective manner.Procurement and Contract separation activitiesDrive procurement and contract separation activities related to the carve out of the businessCollaborate with stakeholders and external advisors to align on and drive execution of all separation planning activitiesFacilitate communication with business units to validate scope and service needs.Act as procurement lead on selected contracts and separation planning activities and negotiationsDrive execution of selected PSI Procurement activities including RFQs and contract negotiations.Understand dispositioning route proposed by legal, align with business stakeholders and executeNegotiate new agreements for the divested entity where required.Ensure supplier readiness and onboarding for Day 1 operationsExperience and QualificationsBachelor’s degree and/or significant Procurement experience across Professional Services and IT categoriesExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent communication and presentation skillsExcellent quantitative and data analysis skillsAbility to work in a high pressure and fast-moving business environmentExperience working in a complex global/diverse environmentExtensive experience in stakeholder managementSelf-motivated and assertive with internal and external contactsAbility to influence with and without authorityAbility to reconcile diverse business strategies and challengesSkilled negotiator / results orientedDesirable qualifications and experience5-10 years of relevant experience in Procurement/Supply Chain/MarketingProblem solving experience in reducing total costs and improving processesRelevant experience in the category area would be an advantage
