Procurement Category Manager (Telecom)

On behalf of ICT company Huawei Technologies, we are looking for a bilingual Procurement Category Manager focused on the assessment, selection and development of strategic suppliers to meet telco projects demand. This role supports to project teams to complete the delivery target throughout the project’s lifecycle, help to resolve difficulties and carries out procurement strategy.(Onsite job. Work location: Lima)Main duties:Drive the clear understanding of customers and/or projects needs and output a clear procurement strategy.Gain market insights into the industry's commonly used delivery and procurement models and price quotations and conduct research on industry resources.Participate in the formulation of frame bidding strategies, complete contract handover, and take responsibility for the implementation of procurement contracts for a specific category/ domain.Continuously improvement through identifying pain points, working with the project team on process optimization and management improvement, and optimizing procurement strategies, etc.Identify internal control and compliance risks and facilitate their timely closure, create a climate for internal control and compliance within the project team.We require:8+ years’ experience in Procurement areas inside Telecom/ ICT companies as category specialist, procurement specialist, category buyer or similar role, mainly handle procurement projects in Telecom industry.Background in procurement processes (supplier certification, selection, negotiation, contract agreement terms) and able to perform independent duties.Be familiar with and apply the knowledge of procurement or Telecom business.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Telecom, Electric, Electronic), Civil Work or relevant major.Advanced English communication level (used as working language).Procurement business insight and strategy presentation capability-able to work independentlyProject development capability; able to work independently.Advanced negotiation skill and cost simulation knowledgeStrong organizational and lead times management.High commitment and availability to work according to project needs.Ability to maintain clear focus under pressure is a must.Understand and bring openness to different cultures.[ Key Note: Only English CV will be screened ]
