And we're committed to helping researchers achieve their most important discoveries.Does this sound like you?You are organised, proactive and keen to learn and grow skills in procurement and inventory management.Working closely with our Procurement Manager, you’ll enjoy working hands-on across day-to-day procurement activities - from sourcing and supplier coordination to managing stock levels and processing purchase orders and invoices. You’re comfortable managing multiple tasks, have a good eye for detail, enjoy working with numbers and systems, and communicate confidently.This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in an administrative, operations or similar role involving purchasing, inventory management and/or supply chain, who appreciates variety and wants to grow with a team that’s building something meaningful.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate day-to-day procurement activities including: sourcing, purchasing, supplier coordination and documentation, in accordance with established proceduresMonitor inventory levels and place orders to maintain adequate stock levels and records across multiple locations and sitesAssist with incoming goods, verifying contents against purchase orders, and updating inventory recordsCollaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and meet procurement requirementsSupport supplier onboarding, engagement, issue resolution, and performance monitoringIdentify and propose cost-saving opportunitiesContribute to the maintenance and improvement of internal procurement systemsKey selection criteria2+ years' experience in an administrative, operations, or similar role involving purchasing, inventory management and/or supply chainFamiliarity with inventory management and procurement practices and systemsAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyNumerical aptitude for accurate counting, calculations, and reconciliation processesStrong organisational skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaborationProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and G SuiteWhy IonOpticks?We are a small(ish), but mighty team, which is growing.
