Job Purpose This is a foundational role responsible for building the company’s procurement and cost control framework from the ground up. The Procurement & Cost Optimization Specialist will introduce structure, compliance, and transparency into all purchasing activities while driving measurable cost efficiencies. Working closely with Finance, Technical, and Commercial teams, this role will establish procurement policies, digital workflows, and supplier management processes that support the company’s financial discipline and corporate evolution. The role combines hands-on execution with process design, data-driven analysis, and change management across departments. This position is based in either our Cyprus or Greece office, depending on the candidate’s location.Main Duties and Responsibilities Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and approval workflows aligned with financial and audit requirements. Consolidate and oversee all purchasing activities to ensure visibility, control, and efficiency. Implement cost control mechanisms, including spend tracking, budget compliance, and purchase order approval limits. Conduct spend analysis, market benchmarking, and supplier performance reviews to identify and capture savings opportunities. Negotiate supplier contracts and pricing to optimize total cost of ownership and service levels. Build and maintain a supplier and vendor database with performance and compliance metrics. Collaborate closely with Finance to support cash flow planning, accruals, and cost forecasting. Configure and manage procurement workflows within Microsoft Business Central (or similar ERP) to ensure full process traceability and approval control. Prepare periodic procurement and cost performance reports for management and the board. Champion a cost-conscious culture by training and supporting internal teams on procurement best practices and compliance. Drive procurement digitalization and integration with internal systems such as TM Cortex and Business Central.Qualifications & Skills Required Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience, ideally in technology, maritime, or industrial sectors. Strong negotiation, vendor management, and cost analysis skills. Proven ability to design and enforce procurement processes and approval structures. Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools. Experience with ERP or procurement management systems.Fluent in English.Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
