Job Description

The Project Procurement Officer will be responsible for EPC’s or BOP (Balance of Plan) purchases including Operation and Maintenance Services focusing in first instance on a major Italian Project (100 MW – 900 MWh) that include Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), Grid Connection (MV line, HV/MV Substation, HV Share Substation, HV lines) and supportive services as Owner Engineer, HSE Agent; etc …In line with the Procurement strategy and in close interface with HQ Procurement Manager, the Project Procurement Officer will access Italian team to implement all procurement initiatives needed for the construction of this project and any other project that would occur in parallel.The Project Procurement Officer will have continuous internal interaction with other department of the company: Development, Finance, Engineering, Operations and external with suppliers mainly.Organize market screening to identify potential suppliers per purchase categories as EPC’s or local Balance of Plant contractor and per type of asset (EPC’s PV, EPC’s BESS, O&M Services, Owner Engineers, service providers …).Pre-qualify potential suppliers that we will invite for coming tender: supplier facilities visit, data and document collection, evaluation and scoring, final review with the team, including time-to-time travels to meet the local contractors.Collect on regular basis, economic/price data and technical insight useful for our project construction. Release no binding offer request toward suppliers to finetune price level on specific project in development phase.Prepare and implement Request for Quotation according to procurement scheme and specific project. Negotiate price and key terms before awarding.Finalize negotiation and contract until signature after awarding, including the drafting of all contract annexes.Participate to periodic meeting either for project as procurement representative or procurement action plan follow up.Profil:Bachelor's/Master’s degree in engineering (electrical or civil preferred). > 5 years of relevant work experience in the utility-scale PV or at least in Renewables Energy market required.  Confirmed procurement experience on Italian market. Proven track record successfully managing procurement activities in project environment, including bidding and negotiation with EPC’s. Competent and experienced in supply and contract negotiations. Italian native speaker and fluent in English (spoken and written).
