Each of these Business Lines (BL) has a procurement department which is responsible for strategic procurement and Supplier Development & Quality (SDQ). The BL procurement departments focus on direct materials whilst indirect goods and materials are procured by the Global Indirect procurement team and therefore are not a part of the scope of this position.This role of Procurement Manager sits within the Brachy and Neuro BL procurement departments. As a Procurement Manager in the Brachy and Neuro BLs you actively participate in the strategic sourcing activities for the commodities in your portfolio, with the goal of setting up a strategy which could include looking for supplier consolidation, dual sourcing or achieving significant cost reductions, while maintaining/improving product quality and supplier service levels.You work closely with local key business stakeholders to develop sustainable sourcing strategies and implementation plans. Furthermore, you work together with international colleagues of other Elekta entities when it comes to e.g. the P2P process, and in projects aimed at aligning/improving upon global processes, systems, and templates.ResponsibilitiesYou will lead the development and execution of local sourcing strategies for allocated commodities taking due account of stakeholder mapping, spend analysis, understanding of current and future demands, supplier improvement and cost reduction opportunities.Strategic Sourcing & Supplier ManagementDefine and implement sourcing strategies, including supplier selection, consolidation, and dual sourcing, in line with Elekta’s sourcing process. This includes providing proper quotation analysis documentation and sourcing recommendations.Lead supplier negotiations, ensure appropriate contract terms, and collaborate with Legal where needed.Monitor supplier performance on cost, quality, delivery, and compliance; implement improvement plans and conduct regular business reviews.Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans in order to secure business continuity.Process & Value OptimizationPlan and execute sourcing events driven by product development, contract expirations, or business needs.Maintain procurement system data integrity and keep the Approved Supplier List (ASL) accurate and up to date.Support global alignment by contributing to cross-functional procurement projects, tools, and templates.Encourage open book costing and competitive tendering.Drive TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) reduction through value engineering, supplier consolidation, and open-book costing.Stakeholder Collaboration & CompliancePartner with local and international stakeholders to implement sourcing strategies, quality improvements, and efficiency gains.Represent procurement in product core teams, supporting early supplier involvement during product development and maintenance.Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and Elekta’s code of ethics, promoting a values-driven procurement culture.What You BringTo be successful in the role, we believe you should have:A university degree in Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and work experience with technical productsChartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) certification desirable5–10 years of experience in an international production and supply setting, with a focus on purchasing and contracting for direct materials, ideally within a regulated industry and high level of technical product complexityProfessional proficiency in Dutch and EnglishExperience managing supplier quality and driving supplier development initiativesStrong understanding of sourcing strategy development and financial principles (e.g. TCO, NPV, cost-price analysis) and the ability to build business cases.Proficiency with procurement and quality systems (e.g. Coupa, ERP, QMS, iCertis) and knowledge of the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processFamiliarity with BI tools (e.g. Qlik Sense)Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing suppliers and stakeholders across different seniority levels and geographiesExperience in contract management and understanding of contractual lawStrong planning and organizational skills with a track record of managing competing priorities and delivering on ambitious targets.As a person, we believe you are passionate about continuous improvement and are:A proactive self-starter who works independently and thrives in dynamic environmentsAnalytical and solution-oriented, with strong problem-solving skillsA team player with a commercial mindset and results-driven approachCommitted to quality and detail, with a first-time-right mentality.The position might require up to 10% travel internationally.We encourage you to apply, even if you don’t meet every requirement on the list, as long as you are excited about the opportunity.
