We are looking for a results-driven strategic Procurement Manager to lead supplier management, sourcing transformation, and cost optimization initiatives across our global operations. This role is ideal for a seasoned procurement professional with strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills. You will play a key role in transforming procurement practices, optimizing supplier relationships, and delivering measurable business value.Please note that the location of this vacancy will be moving from Almere to Hilversum as from Summer 2026!Key ResponsibilitiesSupplier & Contract Management Own and manage contracts within assigned spend categories and scope. Develop and maintain strategic relationships with the top 30 global suppliers. Conduct regular performance reviews on top 30 suppliers and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Identify, vet, and onboard new key suppliers aligned with business needs and compliance standards.Supplier Optimization & Rationalization Drive supplier rationalization initiatives to reduce fragmentation and improve efficiency. Consolidate supplier spend into fewer, high-value contracts to leverage economies of scale. Expand scope with existing suppliers to enhance service delivery and quality.Strategic Sourcing & Spend Transformation Shift procurement focus from supplier-led to demand-led purchasing strategies. Challenge historical spend behaviors and promote data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement with operational needs.Cost Optimization & Value Engineering Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities. Implement value engineering initiatives using industry best practices. Encourage departments to rethink supplier selection and spend strategies. Introduce innovative procurement processes and procedural improvements to reduce total cost of ownership.Performance Targets Reduce supplier base by 10% within 12 months. Achieve 100% contract coverage for strategic spend categories and top 30 suppliers. Deliver 5% annual cost reduction through sourcing and process improvements. Ensure at least 90% compliance with SLAs and KPIs. Complete vetting and onboarding of new suppliers within 30 days of identification. Implement a minimum of two procurement process improvements per quarter.Your Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Supplier Management within complex, matrixed organizations. Alternatively, experience in management consulting or global FMCG environments with a strong track record in procurement-related projects. Advanced education (e.g., MSc, MBA) in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Economics, or a related field is preferred.Your Skills & Competencies Analytical Excellence: Demonstrated ability to perform quantitative analysis, interpret complex data sets, and apply fact-based decision-making to procurement strategies. Strategic Thinking: Capable of challenging legacy processes and driving transformation through innovative sourcing and supplier management approaches. Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to engage and influence senior internal and external stakeholders across functions and geographies. Communication Skills: Strong presentation and verbal communication skills; able to articulate complex ideas clearly and confidently in English.
