Type: Full-Time, PermanentLocation: Flexible to work out of one of our UK OfficesHybrid: 2/3 days in office per weekWe are seeking a experienced Procurement Leader to join the onshore division of a large energy organisation. In this brand new role, you will define and implement the overall procurement strategy, building out a team to support the development and leadership of this strategic procurement function.Role ResponsibilitiesDefine and implement the overall procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and project requirements to drive procurement transformation.Establish procurement policies, procedures, and frameworks to ensure compliance, consistency, and operational efficiency.Build and maintain a resilient supply chain that supports the company’s growth and sustainability objectives.Oversee the negotiation and execution of complex contracts and strategic supplier agreements.Ensure robust risk management, effective cost control, and thorough performance monitoring across all procurement activities.Develop strategic partnerships with global suppliers and contractors within the offshore renewables industry. QHSE ResponsibilitiesTo have a general understanding of the areas of our QHSE Management System and the company's QHSE aims and objectives that are relevant to the role.Comply with the requirements of Group Policies and the responsibilities within the wider QHSE Management System.Promote a proactive health and safety culture focussed on the prevention of work related injury or ill health and continual improvement in our processes / performanceDrive environmental sustainability and energy efficiency whilst minimising our environmental impacts and preventing pollution.Stimulate a quality culture that brings values to our business, our customers and other interested parties ensuring quality issues and opportunities for improvement are identified and implemented.Qualifications CIPS Qualification – desirableDegree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management – preferredDemonstrable experience of procurement management in a relevant industry - considered Industry Knowledge Background in renewables, energy, oil and gas or similar infrastructure sector. Career Experience Procurement leadership experience – managing and developing teamsExtensive experience in procurement, with a breadth of knowledge in contracts, managing suppliers, procurement strategy and supporting overseas projects.Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial strategy, and risk management principlesInternational Procurement Management – LATAM, APAC will be beneficialWish to Apply?
