Procurement Manager (Iron Ore/Steel)

Our client is a Commodities Trading MNC with strong APAC market presence, they are actively looking for a competent Procurement Manager to join their Procurement team. Key Responsibilities Maintain strong relationships with existing mining companies and other suppliers. Manage physical and derivative trading risks related to black metals in strict compliance with company risk policies. Oversee procurement of imported iron ore and identify new business opportunities in iron ore or related sectors. Collect, track, and analyse market intelligence on the iron ore industry. Develop and execute sourcing and origination strategies to expand the supplier base. Collaborate with sales and operations teams to exchange market insights and support research teams in shaping trading strategies. Assist in quotation review, contract negotiation, and execution, ensuring end-to-end follow-up through to final payment settlement.Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher in international trade, business English, or related fields. Minimum 6 years of experience in international trade operations, preferably in raw materials; background in market development, client relations, or order management is an advantage. Familiarity with iron ore procurement, sales, and logistics is preferred. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
