Role DescriptionThe job purpose is to create leading procurement strategies, identify ways to meet procurement targets and to develop processes and procedures to make the organization more efficient, considerably more cost effective and more valuable in the eyes of stakeholders and customers.To support the business in procurement, guide decisions, manage procurement against business risks and monitor the departments performance to ensure a sustainable businessTo identify and introduce cost-saving and cost-reduction opportunities in the business when solutions are searched in the market and acquire the best prices from suppliers through negotiations and price benchmarking.To measure the performance of suppliers and report accordinglyTo enable the use technology to simplify, automate, integrate, and measure all procurement processes in the business.To ensure the professional values, ethical behaviour, and legal compliance are demonstrated in the procurement practicesTo manage the Procurement function/componentQualificationsA degree in Supply Chain Management or a related qualificationMembership to CIPS or equivalent would be desirableKnowledge of the PFMA and all other relevant statues7 Years Procurement ExperienceExperience working with multiple projects/bidsTender and other procurement/ SCM process managementContract Management and negotiationKnowledge of E- procurement toolsApply at the link or email your cv to: johane.rautenbach@swanitrecruitment.com
