Ausora™ has been developed through a long-standing research partnership with Deakin University and is set to bring a disruptive manufacturing solution to the textile industry together a broad range of other potential applications.About the Role:The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the company’s procurement strategy to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and high-quality sourcing of goods and services. This role will manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, implement procurement best practices, oversee shipping/logistics and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support operational and strategic goals.Responsibilities:Strategic ProcurementDevelop and implement the organisation’s procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement in sourcing processes.Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and new products or suppliers.Supplier ManagementSource, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and service.Negotiate terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery, and payment terms.Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers and vendors.Monitor supplier performance and address any quality or service issues.Maintain related documentation in accordance with company policies.Operational ManagementOversee day-to-day purchasing operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies including but not limited to RFQs and purchase orders.Manage procurement budgets, forecasts, and assist with cost reporting activities.Implement procurement systems and tools to improve efficiency and transparency.Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.Foster collaboration across departments, including operations, finance, and production, to ensure seamless procurement processes including forecasted material needs and inventory levels.Assist with the management of the Engineering Bill of Materials and change controlknowledgeRequirements:Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).Minimum 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.Experience working in a multinational equipment manufacturing company or a chemical manufacturing environment, with exposure to complex global supply chains and industrial procurement processes of import/export of goods (highly preferred).Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost reduction.Proficiency in ERP or procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Dynamics).Certification such as CIPS, CPSM, or equivalent is an advantage.Fluent in Mandarin or another Southeast Asian language (highly preferred).Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, NCRs, SLAs, Lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement practices (is a plus)Who you are:Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.High level of attention to detail and organisational ability.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
