Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our contracting division, ALC.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction procurement, a thorough understanding of UAE supplier networks, and the ability to negotiate effectively for quality materials and services. This role is key to ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing that supports our operational goals and project delivery timelines. Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & SourcingSource, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services. Prepare and issue RFQs, purchase orders, and procurement contracts in line with project requirements. Maintain and expand a reliable network of suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Cost & Quality ControlEnsure materials and services meet required quality standards and specifications. Conduct regular price comparisons to secure competitive rates. Assist in budget preparation by providing accurate material and service cost estimates. Coordination & DocumentationCollaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, and quantity surveyors to determine material needs and delivery timelines. Track and manage procurement schedules to ensure timely deliveries. Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, and supplier databases. Compliance & StandardsEnsure all procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual requirements, and UAE regulations. Adhere to ethical sourcing practices and maintain transparency in vendor dealings.
RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 5–10 years of experience in procurement within the UAE construction/contracting sector. Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and subcontracting services. Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and procurement software (ERP systems preferred). Ability to manage multiple procurement packages simultaneously under tight deadlines. Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage. Preferred QualificationsCertification in procurement or supply chain (e. g. , CIPS) is an advantage. Experience with fast-track projects in the UAE. Familiarity with sustainable sourcing practices.
