What is the opportunity?Group Procurement & Partner Management is a Bank of Ireland Group-wide function that provides Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Partner Relationship Management, Supplier Risk Management & Governance and Procurement Services & Transformation support to all Divisions and Business Units. Group Procurement is part of Group Technology & Customer Solutions.We facilitate the effective purchase of goods and services across the Bank. We do so with the aim of maximizing value from our total spend whilst protecting against supplier risk.We are seeking a highly skilled Coupa Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our Procurement team. This role will be pivotal in driving the effective use, optimization, and continuous improvement of the Coupa platform across the procurement lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring deep functional knowledge of Coupa, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and a passion for digital procurement transformation.In This Role, You WillAct as the primary SME for Coupa within the Procurement function, supporting Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes.Act as the primary lead within some elements of the P2P transformation programme working closely with the BOI Transformation lead and Head of ProcurementLead the design, configuration, and deployment of Coupa modules (e.g., Procurement, Invoicing, Sourcing, Contracts, Supplier Management).Partner with IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to ensure Coupa aligns with business needs and compliance requirements.Drive user adoption through training, documentation, and ongoing support.Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements or integrations.Manage Coupa release updates, testing, and change management activities.Support procurement reporting and analytics using Coupa dashboards and data exports.Serve as the liaison with Coupa support and external implementation partners.Ensure data integrity, governance, and compliance within the Coupa platform.What will make you stand out?Proven experience as a Coupa SME or Functional Consultant, ideally within a global procurement environment.Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices (S2P, P2P, contract lifecycle, supplier onboarding).Hands-on experience with multiple Coupa modules and configuration.Experience with system integrations (e.g., ERP, finance systems) and data management.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.Experience in change management and user training is a plus.Essential QualificationsCoupa certifications (e.g., Coupa Platform, Procurement, Invoicing).Experience in a regulated or complex industry (e.g., pharma, financial services, manufacturing).Familiarity with agile project methodologies and digital transformation initiatives.Transformation experience in FSDesirable Skills And QualificationsStrategic business experience in ProcurementExperience of Financial Services/Banking industry trendsWhy work with us?At the heart of our purpose is our commitment to Inclusion & Diversity:Bank of Ireland Group is an equal opportunities employer and is committed to fostering an in-clusive workplace which values and benefits from the diversity of our workforce, this is sup-ported by the development of our Employee Support Networks.We offer reasonable accommodation at every stage of the application and interview process.
