Procurement Specialist - Corporate, with large government infrastructure organisation.18-month fixed term contract (FTC) role with a significant infrastructure organisation.Supporting the corporate categories. The OpportunityThe Procurement Specialist, will play a key role in assisting stakeholders to plan, develop, source and manage procurement arrangements. You will participate and contribute to the development and implementation of category plans, and challenge providers to optimise service outcomes across the corporate categories of spend.This is a unique opportunity to join a fast growing and well recognised government infrastructure organisation during a period of significant growth. Aspects of the role will includeProviding advice, information and guidance on procurement related matters to stakeholders across the organisation. Undertaking research, cost modelling and analysis of supply markets to identify opportunities and inform sourcing strategies.Preparation of tender documents.Drafting, evaluating, negotiating and executing contracts.Developing reports to support effective management of supplier performance and to track and report on benefits delivered.Participating and contributing to the development of contract management plans, resolving issues, monitoring performance and negotiating contract variations through effective supplier relationships to enhance business outcomes.Your BackgroundIdeally, you’ll have 3+ years’ experience in procurement, contract negotiation, or supply chain management, along with: Strong knowledge of procurement processes, systems, and legislation. Proven ability to influence, collaborate and build strong relationships with stakeholders.Experience drafting and negotiating contracts and managing supplier performance.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills.High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.Detail-oriented with great organisational and time management abilities.A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and results.What’s on Offer18-month fixed term contract role with a significant infrastructure organisation with possibility of being extended or going permanent.Salary of $135,000 inclusive of super.
