Procurement SpecialistOverviewThe Procurement Specialist will manage the full procurement lifecycle from identifying sourcing needs and potential suppliers to negotiating contracts and ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services. This role plays a critical part in optimising cost, quality, and delivery performance, while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Finance, Legal, Operations, and other departments to ensure procurement decisions align with the organisation’s strategic goals.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of goods and services.Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, products, and sourcing opportunities.Analyse supplier bids, negotiate favourable terms, and manage contract execution.Maintain accurate procurement records and track all purchasing activities.Evaluate supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.Participate in strategic planning sessions to align procurement objectives with business goals.Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.Stay current with procurement laws and regulations, including export control requirements.Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and key partners.Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement effective sourcing strategies.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent experience.Minimum of 5 years’ procurement experience, preferably within a regulated industry such as defence or aerospace.Commodity procurement experience is highly desirable.Professional certifications such as MCIPS, CPSM, CPM, or CCM are advantageous.Key SkillsProficiency in SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA, and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.Why This Role MattersThis role is critical to our client's operational success.
