Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Procurement Strategy Planner II to join our Marine team in Kennesaw, GA. This role will support strategies necessary to develop and refine supplier and subsidiary quality, delivery, cost, and manufacturing processes, as well as customer service. This ensures the conditions for successful procurement, scheduling, and delivery of high-quality finished goods.What you'll be doing:Originate Strategy Package development (Global and Domestic) and ML setting, focusing on long term cost reduction, supplier optimization, and compliance targets for YMUS and Subs. Collaborate with affected departments.Investigate Supplier short term cost reduction and/or resourcing for YMUS and Subs as identified and communicate effectively with affected areas.Coordinate department planning and execution of the annual Marine Procurement Meeting. Lead communication between department and other entities (Internal YMUS, Subs, Suppliers, Lodging, etc.)Lead team efforts in Supplier contracting, working closely with CSU and Subs to identify discrepancies.Manage YMUS and Subs continuous improvement regarding the Procurement Function Evaluation (PFE), Compliance initiatives, Supplier development, and general activity as needed.Perform Supplier tracking efforts, both active and potential, including set-up documentation, compliance, spend, commodities, performance reporting, strategy package score, etc.Support new hire training and guide level I’s in their daily activity, as needed.Support monthly reports and generate reports for management as requested.Perform other duties, manage additional projects, and professionally develop.What you need to be successful: BS/Ba Degree Required.
