Role Overview: Prodieco production planners are critical in coordinating manufacturing processes to ensure timely delivery of high-precision tooling used in pharmaceutical packaging. Key Duties/Responsibilities: Define production routings for the vast array of Prodieco tooling that achieve the required tolerance and finish levels. Develop and manage production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and machining / production process times. Coordinate material and resource availability with Shopfloor team to prevent delays.
Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials and finished tools. Implement just-in-time inventory strategies to reduce waste and holding costs. Liaise with Procurement team to ensure timely delivery of purchase and batch parts. Work closely with engineering, procurement, and quality assurance teams to align on production needs. Ensure tooling designs are finished to regulatory and technical standardsCollaborate with customer service to prioritize urgent orders or special requests. Analyze historical production data to forecast future demand.
Generate reports on production efficiency, delays, and capacity utilizationEnsure all plans and processes adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and other regulatory standards. Maintain clear and accurate documentation for audits and traceability. Complete ad hoc duties as required. Skills & Attributes: Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar role. Strong attention to detail. Capable of juggling multiple complex tasks with precision and consistencyAble to interpret data, spot inefficiencies, and optimize workflow. Effective communicator who can bridge gaps between departments and external partners.
Quick to adapt when faced with delays, material shortages, or design changesFamiliarity with ERP systems (like SAP, ours is EMAX) and production planning software. Understanding of pharmaceutical industry standards, especially around compliance and validation.
