Producer, Malay Current Affairs

ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking someone to be part of the Malay news and current affairs team in sourcing, reporting and filing news stories for all the unit's news platforms: Digital, TV and Radio.The individual will:-Cover and file news stories and if necessary do ‘live' report from locationWrite, report and readapt news stories from various sources for the digital platformMust be able to write fast and in an engaging fashion to attract the online news usersKeep track and comprehend national and community issuesKeep track of the social media and trends/issues, and develop them into news storiesQualificationsA good degree in any disciplineGood sense of news stories and current affairs issuesAbility to craft, script and produce news/CA storiesAbility to conduct interviews on various topics of interestGood research capability particularly on relevant topics or issuesA good command of Malay and English, particularly a flair for written MalaySome experience in journalism or related field with relevant focus on Malay community, culture and language, will be useful
