Position Summary About KONI The core activities of the KONI Group are the development and production of high-quality shock absorbers for cars, commercial vehicles, trains and military vehicles.We are a multinational company with locations in Europe, United States and Asia. KONI is a part of ITT corporation who is giving us opportunities and support in the world wide market.Essential Responsibilities Profile We are seeking a product design engineer to strengthen our New Product Development (NPD).In this role you are responsible to develop new products for all our markets.Y ou will be part of a small specialist team and working with international colleagues on a project basis. Your responsibilities: Concept, Feasibility and Design of new products or new range of products working with Application Engineering, Quality and Industrial Engineering. Realization of 3D model, 2D drawings, and BOM of new Prototypes and Products Follow up on prototype realization and testing Follow up NPD project using a toll gate system assuring that all deliverables are met in time and with the right level of quality Assure that all the developed products are designed with a strong “Design to manufacturing” and “Design to cost” mindset. Apply DFMEA approach in the design phase. Be responsible for internal norms regarding design, materials, welding, etc Scout and promote innovation projects and technologies Together with R&D director define Product roadmap based on market and management inputs Promote standardization of components. Materials, tolerance across different range of products Position RequirementsYou have a bachelor’s or master’s degree an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Hydraulic, Aeronautic, Automotive) with about 5-7 years of experience in a comparable role.Preferably knowledge of designing Shock absorbers, Hydraulic valves, Hydraulic systems, Suspension systems. Qualifications/ Requirements/ Characteristics: Interest in general vehicle design and dynamics Interest in applying hydraulic damping system and components like valves General mechanical design, GD&T 3D Solidworks, Pro –E proficiency, making drawings is a big part of the job.
