🎯 About the RoleBurger King is one of the world’s most iconic Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brands, known for its flame-grilled burgers and bold, innovative marketing. As we continue our growth journey in the Scandinavian market, we are looking for a Product Developer to innovate and drive the creation and enhancement of menu items for Burger King.In this role, you will:· Lead product development, formulation, pilot testing, and commercialization of new products and packaging. Ensure that Taste is King!· Own ingredient sourcing, specification development, cost modeling, and supplier engagement.· Conduct customer trend analysis, consumer testing, and product research.· Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, supply chain and quality assurance to ensure seamless product launch and execution.· The role reports to Head of Menu and Execution (part of Marketing team).🛠️ Key Responsibilities· Manage the product development cycle based on the marketing calendar through launch, targeting consistent quality and cost-efficiency.· Develop ingredients and document formulations, and process specifications.· Collaborate with our supplier’s R&D chefs (where applicable) or cross-functional teams to balance culinary innovation with technical scalability. Participate in product ideation sessions and coordinate with suppliers to develop new ingredients.· Conduct market research and incorporate consumer insights into product innovation and improvement.· Present new product proposals to marketing or leadership teams.· Collaborate together with operations to ensure that the products or packaging works well in the restaurants in terms of shelf-life, equipment etc.· In summary the role is a stimulating mix of both practical work to test burgers and other products in our restaurants and to prepare necessary documentation for a successful launch.· The role might include traveling on a bi-monthly basis between our offices in Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen and to various suppliers within Scandinavia.📚 Qualifications· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Culinary Science, Marketing or equivalent.· 3–5 years of experience in product development (or Product/Brand Management) within the food service or consumer food industry. Experience with QSR operations or franchise models is a strong advantage.· Strong technical and culinary understanding; familiarity with sensory methods, ingredient technology, and nutritional labeling.· Excellent project management, cost modeling, and analytical skills.· Effective communication skills, able to articulate concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across regions.
