Product Development Manager

Job Title: Product Development Manager Department: R&D Reporting Line: Reports to Senior Leadership Team Size: 3–4 direct reports Level: Mid-Senior Location: Southeast Asia (relocation supported) Role SummaryWe are seeking a hands-on Product Development Manager to lead innovation and enhancement initiatives across the full product lifecycle. This role requires strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and strong project leadership from concept through to production. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in food manufacturing or food ingredients and a proactive approach to market trends and technology.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy & InnovationDefine and execute product development strategies aligned with business objectives.Lead ideation and development of new product concepts, flavors, and processes.Evaluate feasibility, resources, and timelines for new initiatives.Respond quickly to market shifts with agile development practices.Project LeadershipManage end-to-end product development projects, ensuring timely delivery.Align project scope with stakeholder expectations and business goals.Identify risks, drive decisions, and maintain transparency across teams.Champion continuous improvement and effective cross-functional communication.Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in a scientific or technical field (Bachelor’s or Master’s).5–8 years of relevant experience in product development, ideally in food manufacturing.Strong project management skills; familiarity with lean methodologies.Advanced proficiency in MS Project and Excel.Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, and SOP development.Exposure to diverse manufacturing technologies is a plus.Must have prior experience in the food industry.English proficiency required.Compensation & BenefitsHousing & Car Provided13th Month BonusVariable Bonus (subject to management discretion)Work Permit handled by local HR team
