Product Engineer (Full-Stack)

About the RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled and proactive Full-Stack Product Engineer to join our team full-time and in person. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to develop features end-to-end and make a substantial impact in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.In this role, you will build product features from conception to deployment, collaborating closely with our CPO and working across the entire tech stack to deliver AI-powered features that drive enterprise adoption. We are hiring for an on-site role in our HQ in Berlin, Germany.ResponsibilitiesContribute to the development of product features across our AI platform, from technical design to user-facing implementationBuild end-to-end solutions spanning frontend (Next.js), backend (Node.js), and database layersCollaborate with our design team and customers to gather insights, feedback, and iterate on product featuresImplement user interfaces, including full screens, reusable components, and user flowsMaintain and optimize our codebase for performance and user experienceTake over "Support Engineer" rotations, in which all members from the engineering team regularly shift their focus on supporting our customers and the customer support teamRequired Skills2–3+ years of proven experience in a full stack engineering role, building production applicationsStrong frontend development skills with JavaScript/TypeScript, React (preferably with Next.js), and Tailwind CSSSolid backend development experience with Node.js and API designComfortable working with databases, particularly PostgreSQL, and understanding data modeling conceptsAPI integration experience with REST APIs and modern patterns like tRPCFluent English communication skills for technical discussions and collaboration within the teamCandidates with a stronger background in either frontend or backend are welcome, but you should be comfortable working across the full stack.Strong PlusHands-on experience with Language Models and AI/ML integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.)Enterprise software development experience with security and compliance considerationsExperience with Redis for caching and session managementVector databases and semantic search implementationGerman language skills for direct customer communicationA strong sense for user experience (UX) and experience working with design systemsTimeline After StartWeeks 1-2: Onboarding and small tickets to familiarize with codebaseWeeks 3-6: Mix of smaller and mid-size tickets as well as being "support engineer" (on duty for a week, together with more experienced engineer to handle and fix all ad-hoc, incoming issues from customers)Week 6+: Work as a Product Engineer, working on building full screens and features end-to-end in our product.
