As a Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the product strategy, driving profitability, and ensuring a superior user experience. Leveraging your expertise in card issuing and real time payments within the fintech or banking industry, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet market demands and regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy and DevelopmentDevelop a comprehensive product strategy for a new payment card, aligned with company goals and market opportunities. Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer feedback sessions to inform product decisionsLead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept to launch. Define product requirements, prioritise features, and work closely with engineering teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality featuresDrive Profitability:Develop and execute product strategies to drive profitability and growth, leveraging insights from market analysis and customer feedbackDefine pricing strategies, revenue models, and business metrics to maximise product profitability and ROIProduct Roadmap and Lifecycle Management:Lead the development and management of the product roadmap, prioritising features and initiatives based on business goals and customer needsManage the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and concept development to launch and post-launch optimisationCross-functional CollaborationWork closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, sales and finance to drive alignment and ensure successful product delivery. Communicate product updates, gather feedback, and incorporate inputs into the product roadmapIndustry Knowledge and Regulatory Compliance:Maintain a strong understanding of the card industry landscape, including the 4 corner model and card scheme rulesStay abreast of payment regulations in the European Economic Area (EEA) to ensure compliance and mitigate regulatory risksUser Experience and Fraud Management:Champion a high-quality user experience by collaborating with design and UX teams to deliver intuitive and user-friendly productsImplement effective fraud management strategies to minimise fraud risk and safeguard customer transactionsTargets:Lead successful payment product launches with on-time delivery, ensuring products to ensure achieving Key KPIs for owned products including retention and growth, quality standards and customer expectationsProvide a high level of user experience, driving user satisfaction and retentionReach targeted product profitability through effective pricing strategies and revenue optimisationRequirements:Proven experience in card issuing within a fintech or banking environmentStrong understanding of payment card ,real time payments & FX products including card networks, processing systems, financial infrastructure providers and regulatory requirementsDemonstrated ability to manage key stakeholders within the organisation and also working with financial infrastructure providers to achieve key product & business objectivesProactive mentality with a demonstrated ability to drive product strategy and profitability for payment productsStrong knowledge of B2B product management practices and lifecycle management & product release frameworksFamiliarity with the card industry, executing and scaling card programs and card scheme rules for all major card schemes in Europe & UKUnderstanding of payment regulation in the UK& EEA and experience ensuring regulatory & card scheme complianceKnowledge of fraud management techniques and best practicesExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive product development from concept to launchExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsAnalytical mindset with the ability to translate data insights into actionable product improvements
