Entering this domain positions you at the heart of IBM, where growth and innovation thrive.Your Role And ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Product Manager with expertise in AI and Integration to help shape the future of IBM’s AI & API Management portfolio. Our flagship offering, IBM API Connect has a large install base and 10 years of “leader” ratings from industry analysts. This role takes ownership of our Developer Experience, including GraphQL and API Studio, leading a cross-functional team with Engineering and Design to help IBM differentiate in the market.You will combine integration, AI, and software engineering subject-matter expertise with strong product management skills to translate market needs into scalable software capabilities. The ideal candidate understands the nuances of software engineering, security, API Development, and can envision a future where AI-driven developer productivity transforms the way API Developers perform their roles.This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution: scanning the environment and researching market forces, crafting the vision, testing and refining the roadmap, and working with a cross-functional team to ensure successful delivery. Craft the product vision and strategy for IBM API Studio. Work with senior leadership to ensure alignment across business functions. Interview customers and other key stakeholders to test hypotheses and iterate on designs. Work with other IBM product teams to ensure a top-quality developer experience that aligns with the rest of IBM’s offerings. Write detailed product specifications and requirements and work with design and engineering through development to ensure the delivery of excellent software. Work with Outbound PM and Marketing to produce demos, sales collateral, and enablement materials for API Studio.Preferred EducationBachelor's DegreeRequired Technical And Professional Expertise 3+ years of professional experience in enterprise software product management and/or software engineering. Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, sales, support, and professional services). Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.Preferred Technical And Professional Experience Deep knowledge of REST APIs, Event Driven Architecture, and GraphQL. Hands-on experience with DevOps and/or REST API Development. Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or Business.
