And we’re just getting started!OverviewThe Product Manager is passionate about the Planet Fitness member’s lifecycle and building out digital experiences that support a member’s lifetime value, such as account management actions, CRM, and driving upgrades and ancillary revenue. The Product Manager will be charged with leading high performing cross-functional development teams, focusing on achieving aggressive growth goals for member engagement and retention.This is a hybrid role based out of our Hampton, NH office or our future Boston, MA office.ResponsibilitiesManage the strategy and development of Lifecycle Workstream product development within the product roadmap. Manage the product development process from end to end: opportunity identification, feature prioritization, requirements gathering, design, development and launch of new featuresFor each project, perform upfront discovery and research, provide clear product requirements, participate in ongoing project routines (standups, sprint planning, refinements, retros with the working development team), sign-offs, lead business reviews to confirm launch readiness. Develop a deep understanding of our customers, their needs, their journeys, and their pain points. Manage research and testing, e.g. surveys, concept testing, clickstream data, and A/B testing. Transform insights into opportunity hypotheses and product requirementsBe a champion of the MVP philosophy, distilling the product down to what is desirable, viable and feasibleWork with cross-functional stakeholders to surface feedback and opportunities for new projects and features and prioritize these requests in accordance with level of effort and business value. Evaluate opportunities and develop business cases. Collaborate with Strategy and analytics teams to decide on KPIs for new features. Forecast, measure, and monitor business metrics and KPIs. Track impact on acquisition, engagement, and retentionCollaborate with Marketing, Operations, and nearly all parts of the company to ensure our digital products are launched successfullyCreate efficiencies and speed to market in the product development process, working closely with other product managers, tech leads, UX designers, and other key members of their POD teams.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in computer science, business management, or a related field, requiredAt least 1-3 years of experience in product management, and 5+ years of total work experience. Other product development or product marketing experience also valuable, particularly with demonstrated product ownershipDemonstrated passion for building products and services that customers will loveWorking knowledge of agile development methodologies and how highly scaled digital/mobile products come togetherEntrepreneurial spirit; must have demonstrated the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, creative problem-solving and initiative. Experience in an “Intra-preneurial” role a plus: taking products from inception to launch within a larger organization Strong initiative, bias for action, and reflexive sense of ownership. Highly self‐motivated and independent Excellent collaboration skills and stakeholder management including managing up to executive leadership. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence without formal authority. Ability to work well with agency partners, cross functional partners and internal and external stakeholders Working knowledge of agile development methodologies and how highly scaled digital/mobile products come togetherFamiliarity with agile project management tools like Jira, Confluence, FigmaExcellent organization and time management, and comfort managing aggressive deadlines Strong technical intuition. Technical background a plus. Familiarity with web and app development tech stack. Understanding of digital fitness trends, and subscription based economic models, a plus.
