Shape the future of enterprise backup technology and safeguard the data that enables life-changing treatments to reach millions of patients.Your new role As Product Owner for the IT Backup Service, you'll own the product vision, roadmap and backlog for our organization's backup technology. You'll combine deep technical expertise in backup and cloud technologies with strong stakeholder management to ensure our service meets business continuity, compliance and operational objectives while driving continuous improvement and value delivery.Your Key Responsibilities Will IncludeDefining and maintaining the product vision, strategy and roadmap for the IT Backup Service, aligned with business continuity, security and compliance goals Owning the product backlog by writing, prioritizing and refining user stories, acceptance criteria and non-functional requirements (RTO, RPO, retention, encryption, etc.) Collaborating with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and continuous improvement Defining and monitoring KPIs for the backup service to drive performance and reliability Ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal backup policies, including data residency, retention, encryption and audit capability Managing incident response involvement for major backup/recovery incidents, leading post-incident reviews and implementing preventive measures Communicating roadmap, status, risks and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders in clear, executive-level language. The IT Backup Service is critical to our business continuity strategy, which support our global operations. The team ranges from infrastructure architects to 1st-line support specialists, across different countries.Your Skills & QualificationsWe're looking for a Product Owner who can bridge technical depth with strategic vision and stakeholder engagement. You'll bring with you:Strong technical background in backup and recovery technologies, with solid understanding of RPO/RTO, retention schemes, backup architecture, snapshots, replication and restore workflows Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or Technical Lead for infrastructure or platform services in an enterprise environment Demonstrated ability to translate technical detail into executive-level communication and vice versa, ensuring clarity across all organizational levels Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to balance competing priorities and build consensus across diverse teams Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal Experience working within regulatory and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, SOX) in enterprise IT environments is a plus.Working at Novo Nordisk Every day we seek the solutions that defeat serious chronic diseases.
