Hato Rey, PRLength of Contract: 12 months +Position Description: RCM is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Owner specializing in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to join our team for a one-year contract, supporting our client in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico. This is a hybrid role, requiring a blend of on-site and remote work. As the Product Owner you will be instrumental in understanding our client's business needs related to their CRM platform (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, HubSpot), translating these needs into clear and actionable requirements, and collaborating closely with technical teams to implement and optimize CRM solutions. Your expertise will be key to enhancing customer engagement, streamlining sales processes, and improving overall business efficiency through the effective utilization of their CRM system. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with exceptional analytical and communication skills, possessing a deep understanding of CRM functionalities and best practices, and comfortable working with bilingual teams. Primary Responsibilities Defining and Communicating the Product Vision: You are the champion of the product. You own the vision and ensure it's clearly articulated and understood by the entire Scrum Team and stakeholders. This involves creating and maintaining the product roadmap. Managing and Prioritizing the Product Backlog: You are responsible for creating, maintaining, and prioritizing the Product Backlog. This includes writing clear and concise user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and ordering them to maximize value delivery. Stakeholder Management: You act as the primary point of contact between the Scrum Team and stakeholders (customers, business users, management, etc.). This involves gathering feedback, managing expectations, and ensuring alignment on product goals and priorities. Maximizing Product Value: Your ultimate goal is to ensure the product delivers maximum business value. You make decisions based on understanding user needs, market trends, and business objectives to prioritize work that yields the greatest return. Collaborating with the Development Team: You work closely with the Development Team throughout the Sprint. This includes clarifying user stories, answering questions, providing feedback, and participating in Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. Making Decisions: You are empowered to make decisions about the product and the Product Backlog. You need to be decisive and able to say "no " to requests that don't align with the product vision or priorities. Ensuring Transparency: You keep stakeholders informed about the progress of the product development, any roadblocks, and any changes to the plan. You ensure the Product Backlog is visible and understood by everyone involved. Accepting or Rejecting Sprint Results: At the end of each Sprint, you review the Increment delivered by the Development Team and determine whether it meets the Definition of Done and the acceptance criteria for the Product Backlog Items. You have the authority to accept or reject the work. Qualifications : Domain Expertise and Business Acumen: A strong understanding of the product's domain, the target market, and the overall business goals is crucial. This allows the Product Owner to make informed decisions, understand user needs within context, and prioritize features that deliver real business value. Visionary and Strategic Thinking: The Product Owner needs to have a clear vision for the product and the ability to think strategically about its future. This involves understanding the long-term goals, anticipating market trends, and translating that vision into a tangible product roadmap. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills are paramount for a Product Owner. They need to effectively communicate the product vision, requirements, and priorities to the Scrum Team, stakeholders, and leadership. Strong interpersonal skills help in building relationships, facilitating discussions, and managing expectations. Decision-Making and Prioritization Skills: The Product Owner is constantly making decisions about what to build and in what order. They need to be decisive, comfortable saying "no, " and skilled at prioritizing the Product Backlog based on value, risk, and dependencies. Understanding of Agile and Scrum Principles: A solid understanding of Agile and Scrum principles and practices is essential for effectively working within a Scrum Team. This includes understanding the roles, ceremonies, and values of Scrum and how they contribute to iterative and incremental product development. Empathy and User-Centricity: A successful Product Owner has empathy for the users and a deep understanding of their needs, pain points, and desires. This user-centric approach ensures that the product being built solves real problems and provides value to its intended audience. Organizational and Time Management Skills: Managing the Product Backlog, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and participating in Scrum events requires strong organizational and time management skills. The Product Owner needs to be able to juggle various responsibilities and keep things on track. Healthcare Industry Acumen and Bilingual Communication: Highly desirable proven experience within the Healthcare Industry, demonstrating an understanding of healthcare-specific business processes and regulatory requirements, coupled with the ability to effectively communicate with bilingual teams (English and Spanish) in Puerto Rico. Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. Certification in a specific CRM platform (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals) is highly desirable.
