Job Title: Product Owner – Clinical TrialsLocation: Ireland (Remote)Type: Full-Time, PermanentSalary: Up to €80,000About the RoleGemPool is looking for an experienced Product Owner to join their client’s clinical trials team. In this fully remote role, you will work closely with stakeholders across clinical operations, data management, and IT to ensure digital solutions and tools support clinical trial delivery effectively. You will help teams deliver value in a regulated environment by prioritising work, refining requirements, and ensuring solutions meet business and compliance needs.What You’ll DoOwn and prioritise the product backlog for clinical trial systems and digital tools.Work with stakeholders to define requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.Collaborate with Agile development teams to deliver features on time and to quality standards.Ensure solutions comply with regulatory and industry standards (e.g., GCP, ICH).Track product performance, gather feedback, and drive continuous improvement.Support cross-team coordination and manage dependencies.Act as the subject-matter expert for clinical trial operations within the product domain.What We’re Looking For3+ years in clinical trials, clinical operations, or life sciences environments.2+ years in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role.Experience working with Agile teams, managing backlogs, and delivering digital solutions.Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.Familiarity with clinical trial systems (EDC, CTMS) and regulatory requirements.Nice to HaveAgile certification (CSPO, PSPO) or equivalent practical experience.Knowledge of CDISC, eClinical systems, or clinical trial data workflows.Experience in regulated industries or working with CROs/pharmaceutical companies.Exposure to digital transformation initiatives or SaaS platforms in life sciences.
