By tackling pivotal challenges and fostering transformational change, we deliver immense value to our clients across all stages of the mining lifecycle.With the recent achievement of a milestone, the launch of our first software product idoba.sim, we are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join our team. This opportunity would suit a highly experienced Product Owner ideally with Business Analyst experience. In this role you will be responsible for translating customer needs and the product roadmap into actionable requirements for our engineering teams. You will own the product backlog, ensure features are clearly defined and prioritized as well as offer support to our Developers in delivering value to customers.Key responsibilities include;Owning and managing the product backlog for idoba.sim, this includes defining, prioritizing and refining user stories and acceptance criteriaEnsuring consistency and alignment between roadmap priorities and sprint deliveryWork closely with Developers, QA and UX/UI to ensure clarity requirementsSupport soring planning, backlog grooming and daily development activitiesChampion the voice of the customer during Sprint activitiesTranslate mining customer workflows into functional requirementsSupport the Product Manager in customer workshops, demos and feedback sessionsValidate delivered features against real-world mining use casesTo be successful you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience; Demonstrated experience in underground mine planning, scheduling or simulation, would be preferred but not essentialDemonstrated experience with a range of mining software – e.g Deswik, Maptek, Hexagon would be preferred but not essentialDemonstrated experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or equivalent role in software deliveryRefined communication skills, demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrated experience with Agile project tools – e.g Jira, Confluence, AWS & DevOpsExperience using Figma in a similar roleMining Engineer degree ore related technical qualification is desirable not essentialExperience in mining simulation/optimization/modelling, operations research or underground haulage modelling would be desirablePrior experience working with a cloud based or SaaS productOur team are pioneering the transformation of underground mining through simulation.
