Representing a diverse array of industries in over 50 countries, that cover trade streams in over 100 countries, amfori continues to have a positive impact on fostering sustainable trade.About the RoleThe Product Owner – Platforms & UI/UX is responsible for defining and delivering platform capabilities and user-centric experiences across amfori’s digital ecosystem. This role ensures that platform architecture, user interfaces, and design systems are scalable, consistent, and aligned with business goals and user needs. The Product Owner acts as the bridge between business stakeholders, amfori IT and business teams, and vendors, driving the platform vision and ensuring seamless integration of functionalities, system core capabilities and design. The Product Owner sets delivery/ development priorities, coordinates collaboration, and ensures the product backlog is always up-to-date. You will work within a complex IT landscape, ensuring efficient integration into the overall architecture.Reports to the amfori IT Manager.Your ResponsibilitiesPlatforms Strategy & OwnershipDefine and maintain the product vision and roadmap for platform capabilities, translate the vision into a concrete product roadmapPrioritize platform features and technical enablers in collaboration with cross-functional teamsEnsure platform scalability, interoperability, and alignment with the amfori enterprise architecture and data governance standardsAct together with the IT Manager as the decision-maker for platform-related trade-offs, balancing technical feasibility, business value, and user impactUI/UX Strategy & GovernanceOwn and evolve the amfori Component Library in collaboration with UI/UX designers and external partners Ensure consistency and accessibility across all user interfaces, adhering to amfori’s brand and design standardsFacilitate design sprints and workshops to co-create intuitive, inclusive, and efficient user experiencesApprove high-definition wireframes and design prototypes, ensuring alignment with user needs and platform constraintsEnsure that platform and UI/UX deliverables meet quality, privacy, and compliance standards (e.g. GDPR, accessibility)Support testing and validation of new features, ensuring they meet acceptance criteria and user expectationsAgile Product ManagementManage and groom the product backlog, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and alignment with business and product goalsCollaborate with Business Product Manager/ Owners, Functional Analysts, and Vendor to translate business requirements into actionable user storiesParticipate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews to ensure continuous improvement and delivery of valueVendor ManagementAct as the main operational contact for platform-related vendors, ensuring that deliverables align with agreed epics, features, and backlog priorities, validate the quality and completeness of vendor outputs and escalates technical or performance issues to the IT Manager when necessaryCollaborate with the IT Manager to ensure that vendor contracts include clear service-level agreements (SLAs), compliance clauses and performance expectationsFeature Delivery & Budget Control: Translate business and technical requirements into actionable tasks for vendors, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveryYour ProfileMaster level degree or similarExperiences and strong technical understanding of scalable platform architecture and design, interoperability, user experience principles and integration with Enterprise ArchitectureExperience in managing component libraries and ensuring consistency across user interfacesExperience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog managementExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on executionFamiliarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, and analytics platformsAbility to guide multidisciplinary teams, foster collaboration, and ensure accountability across internal and external contributors
