Junior Project Engineer

SICE is a Spanish multinational technology company specialized in systems integration. In 2019, we opened the subsidiary SICE Nordics AB to run the operations in Northern Europe. SICE Nordics currently has three long-term ongoing contracts in Sweden and Norway, and is actively researching the market in order to increase the business volume. SICE Deploys Its Activities On All Project Phases Technical support (consulting, design, engineering); Integration (logistics, supply, installation, commissioning, testing); Exploitation (operation & maintenance). SICE’s business lines are divided into three main activities: Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS):

specialization in interurban traffic management in tunnels, highways & tolling systems; Intelligent Transport Systems: public transport such as bus, tram, rail, or metro systems; Urban Traffic and Environmental Efficiency: smart mobility solutions to solve the traffic issues within urban environments. Job DescriptionThe essential duties and responsibilities for this job are connected to participate in one of the teams that are working in Metro (yellow line) or bypass projects in Stockholm. Assist Project Manager and rest of the project team in all aspects of the construction process.

Create, read, understand and review project documents ranging from top level design documents to detailed system design. Daily work on both Swedish and English, and translation from/to both languages. Basic and detailed engineering: provide technical support in construction planning and design; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; etc. Develop project-related documentation as well as test protocols and procedures, and assist with testing & commissioning activities. Administration and daily work on client’s platforms for documentation, notifications, etc. Represent company, project and/or department during meetings with Client and side contractors.

Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents. Interfacing with the project team at headquarters (Madrid) and on site (Sweden). This position is a mixed position, with work both at the office and at the active construction zones. Must demonstrate eligibility to work in Sweden. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Valuable SkillsGood knowledge in Autocad, drawings handling, etc. Work experience in similar assignmentsKnowledge in systems (intelligent transportation, tolling, tunnels, access controls, radio, CCTVs) and/or electronics/computers/networkingPrevious working experience in Sweden’s national authorities such as Trafikverket and SL.
