Production Assistant (Day Shift)

Job Description:Mars Wrigley in Elizabethtown, PA is looking for a Production Assistant!Pay: Based off experience starting at $19.92/hr +Additional Compensation And Total Rewards BelowRequired Shift:Day Shift: Monday- Friday 6am- 2:30pmWhat do we manufacture?Dove Chocolate!Job Purpose:The Production Assistant is responsible for running successfully and safely a set of machines, equipment and/or processes within their working area in the manufacturing plant.What are we looking for?Minimum Requirements:High school diploma, GED or above1+ years experience working with manufacturing equipment and machineryPhysical Requirements:Frequent lifting/carrying (10-55 lbs) & pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs).Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping.Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment.Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).Ability to work in varies manufacturing environments and non-temperature-controlled rooms.Able to read, write, speak and understand EnglishPreferred Qualifications:3+ years of hand on experience working in the manufacturing industryMechanical or technical trainingFork Lift driving experienceWhat will be your Key Responsibilities?Accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, or pieces of equipment.Carry out routine operational tasks including starting-up, shutting-down, monitoring, cleaning, and carrying out basic changeovers, minor repairs, routine checks and inspections, and the use of basic ancillary equipment and computer programs.Escalate issues as appropriate, give full and accurate verbal and written handoverRepair mechanical breakdowns using trained knowledge and experience.Total Rewards/Compensation:Pay based on experience starting at $19.92/HROT potentialAnnual bonus pay outAnnual merit increasesMedical, Vision & Dental- Starts day one!Up to 6% 401K matchPaid Time OffTuition reimbursementShort/Long Term disability18 weeks parental leaveWhat will be the Interview Process?Resume review > Recruiter Phone Screen > Situational Judgement Assessment (online) > Onsite Panel Interview> Offer DecisionAllergies: This is a peanut FREE facility
