We support an inclusive and diverse culture where everyone is encouraged and empowered to be their authentic selves, and where our differences and unique perspectives are a key strength.Job DescriptionABOUT THE JOBThis role will be primarily assigned to Machining, while also being cross-trained to perform entry level support functions throughout manufacturing, as workload deems appropriate.ResponsibilitiesPerform support functions in various departments, which may include some or all of the following:Assist other team members with physically moving/carrying materials from one location to anotherOperate mobile equipment to transport materials as directedUtilize hand tools to assemble small component made-to-stock parts (ex. hinges), while meeting or beating established production quotasPrep rails by attaching all gaskets, basic hardware, and setting blocks to the rail for the assembly processPull materials for manufacturing and ensure physical inventory records are maintainedPrepare and protect products, as needed, for the Packing DepartmentPrep parts for the finishing processRemove bars from the dip tank following its cycle and hang bars on racks for the drying processMove parts and extrusions in and out of the ovensSupport the Warehousing Team to pull inventory, as needed, according to the production schedulePerform physical counts of inventory on handPerform inspections, as needed, to ensure quality parts; immediately report damaged or scratched materialsProvide support for thermal break machining functionsAssemble various fenestration products, in alignment with the production scheduleVisually check parts and/or glass for scratches, dings, and dents prior to assemblyAssist with housekeeping, organization, and continuous improvement projects as assignedMaintain a clean and safe environmentOther duties as assignedQualificationsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experienceAbility to safely lift up to 50lbs on a frequent basisPrevious experience in a Manufacturing environment or related educationPrevious experience with hand toolsAbility to complete basic mathematical calculationsAbility to read a tape measurePreferred QualificationsFor the current opening, related experience in a Machining role is preferred.
