Production Coordinator

Paradise Foods is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Production Coordinator to join our team in Lae. This role reports directly to the Production Manager and plays a key part in ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing operations.The RoleTechnical & Operational ResponsibilitiesDevelop the roster schedule to meet weekly production plans, including overtime and cleaning requirementsProvide manufacturing direction and support to supervisors and line staff, developing subordinate skills through effective decision-makingLead the manufacturing operations team in adhering to and improving GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)Utilize site resources effectively to meet production targets dailyImprove operational performance by increasing yield, reducing downtime and waste, and enhancing quality and safetyFinancial ResponsibilitiesAdvise and develop strategies with the Production Manager to maximize profit and minimize costsMonitor absenteeism, overtime, punctuality, and staff performance, implementing improvement actions as requiredWork closely with site departments to ensure production targets are met and support is delivered where neededInternal Systems & ProcessesImplement and monitor site policies and procedures for effectivenessCollaborate with other managers to ensure management information systems provide production performance dataEnsure accurate collation and availability of production performance information for all staffHuman Resources & Organizational CapabilityWork with the HR Coordinator to hire, induct, manage, and, if necessary, terminate staff in line with company policyEnsure all production positions are filled through merit-based selectionIdentify staff training and development priorities and implement effective programsLead by example to foster a positive teamwork culture and manage performance matters promptlyEnsure adherence to company code of conductOccupational Health & SafetyMaintain corporate OH&S standards on production linesEnsure all work practices are conducted safely and hazards are minimizedConduct investigations into unsafe work methods or incidentsAbout YouExperience and/or qualifications in biscuit productionDegree in Food Technology, Business, Engineering, or equivalent workplace experienceMinimum three years’ experience in a management-level production role in a manufacturing environmentAt least five years’ experience demonstrating success in manufacturing/production managementAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and make effective decisionsStrong verbal and written communication skills, self-starter, capable of handling challenging reporting situationsHow To ApplySubmit a written application, resume, certificates, and references by Friday, 21st November 2025 to:The HR CoordinatorParadise FoodsP.O.
