Job Description

We are looking for a Production Engineer to join our client’s global sub-chapter Production Engineering – Change Services. In this role, you will contribute to cost-efficient, reliable, and lean Change Control Management (ECRs). The team focuses on Product Care for established products and supports the introduction of new products from pilot phase to commercial production. You will bring technical expertise to ensure successful material, system, process, and product changes.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs): Plan, assess, assign tasks, and implement changes in alignment with Product Leaders and Team Leaders.Create and maintain documentation, work plans, material master data, and bills of materials; provide training on required documents.Ensure smooth implementation and phase-out of changes in production.Analyze and trend ECRs; prepare insights for product meetings.Drive timely completion of ECRs through proactive communication and escalation when needed.Guarantee compliance with process, quality, and regulatory requirements for all documentation and master data.Support NPIs by coordinating materials, assisting prototype builds, and providing manufacturability feedback.Manage stakeholder relationships effectively.Handle actions resulting from deviations and involve relevant internal interfaces.Continuously optimize workflows toward a LEAN ECR Service and contribute to improvement initiatives within and beyond the Engineering Chapter.Lead small projects assigned by Product Lead or Sub-Chapter Lead (e.g., continuous improvement projects).Participate in Communities of Practice (CoPs), Squads, and Project Teams as required.Must-HavesBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable Life Science field.Minimum 3 years of experience in a highly regulated production environment (preferably GMP-regulated).Initial experience in Engineering Change Management or Project Management; project leadership experience is a plus.Knowledge of Lean Management, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement is advantageous.Proficiency in MS Office; basic programming skills in Tableau or R Studio are a plus.Fluent in German and English (written and spoken).Strong teamwork and communication skills.Start date: ASAPPlanned duration: 12 months but extension very likelyLocation: RotkreuzIf you want to learn more about this opportunity please feel free to reach out directly to mbertrand@actalentservices.com.*While we appreciate every application, please note that due to the high volume of responses, we may only be able to contact shortlisted candidates.
