Production Engineering Designer

Position SummaryWe are seeking two motivated and skilled Designers to join our Production Engineering team. In these roles, you will be responsible for executing design tasks, releasing Bills of Materials, and managing projects from concept through to production implementation. This includes creating technical drawings, conducting design calculations, and ensuring adherence to engineering and regulatory standards within your area of focus.WHAT YOU WILL DO: Execute design tasks and projects that support manufacturing and production goalsCoordinate personal workload and track progress to meet deadlines, factoring in vendor and production lead timesDevelop designs that meet customer requirements, technical summaries, and manufacturing constraintsEnsure all designs comply with company design criteria, quality standards, and industry regulationsPerform or initiate controlled component testing to ensure reliability, contractual compliance, and proper fitCreate and release technical drawings and documentation in line with internal engineering procedures Collaborate with internal teams (Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service) and engage with vendors or customers for design clarifications or approvals Intermediate Designer: Check and review engineering documents created by others for accuracy and complianceRequirementsCollege diploma in a related engineering field5-10 years of experience in mechanical or electrical designRegistered with CTTAM or eligibleBackground in power distribution or electrical design is strongly preferredProficient in CAD and drafting software (Unigraphics experience preferred)Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skillsHighly organized and self-motivated; able to manage tasks independentlyDetail-oriented and capable of interpreting technical documentationBasic knowledge of component testing and verification practicesFamiliarity with production environments and manufacturing constraints Minimal travel required (BenefitsOUR WHY: We exist to move people.
